The following is a preliminary tabulation of the results of the future courses survey which we conducted from January to March 1998. Thanks a lot to all respondents !
The results will influence the design of our planned 1998 course, which will be offered at no charge. Beyond that, no further courses are planned in 1998, because all the (graduate) students involved are too busy getting their diploma/PhD theses done. After that, we contemplate to continue to offer free introductory courses sustained by a variety of fee-based advanced courses. Any future offerings will be announced via the mailing list mentioned in our ``future plans'' page.
Due to technical problems, we are currently only able to present the results for the first 151 respondents (out of 198), and access to the survey was impossible in April and early May -- we apologize for this. The following pie charts refer to the questions in the survey form.
